The Saturday morning Coffee Morning is an integral part of the Disley Social Calendar and they are held virtually every week. Our event was enjoyable with everyone working hard to keep the customers happy with hot drinks and having a chat as well along with selling cakes, books, jigsaws and raffle tickets.
The raffle is always the high point of the morning and the main fundraiser and most tables won a prize (thanks to Abercrombie for donating your winning ticket to the lovely red headed lad). One of the local attendees from the nearby older people's flats was taken ill towards the end but I am happy to report that she was able to go home after the ambulance people had checked her over.
Altogether, the event raised £112 for Cheshire East Green Party, which will help build our campaigns into the future. A big thank you to all who were involved and members who helped out on the day.
Our next coffee morning is in August so can everyone please put aside a raffle prize and we can arrange to collect them before the event.
